Telegram has a native Payments API: customers pay inside the chat without leaving the bot. It connects to real processors like Stripe, so card data is handled securely and money lands in your normal account.
How in-bot payments work
The bot sends an invoice; Telegram shows a secure payment sheet; the customer pays with a saved card or wallet; your processor charges it and the bot confirms. The bot never sees raw card details.
Available payment methods
- Cards via Stripe and other Telegram-supported providers.
- Apple Pay and Google Pay for one-tap checkout.
- Recurring subscriptions and one-off purchases.
What's needed to set it up
- A bot (we build it on aiogram).
- A connected payment provider token (e.g. Stripe).
- Products or plans defined in the bot.
- Receipts and refund handling.
Tip: the same processor that powers website payments usually powers the bot — one account, two channels.
Where it fits
Digital products, paid subscriptions, event tickets, donations and quick reorders all work well in-bot, because checkout happens where the customer already is.
